DREP Bi-Weekly Report 9.16–10.15 | DREP public chain is continuously improving, Blockchain Explorer optimized statistical analysis functionality

Dear DREPers:

In the second half of September and the first half of October, DREP focused on the technical products of DREP.

In terms of technical products, DREP public chain is designing and developing function of adding and deleting block production nodes flexibly. We added an upper limit on nodes, the amount of which ranges from 2/3MaxPeers to 1MaxPeers. Developers on DREP team are working hard to improve community governance model and figure out strategies for on-chain polls. DREP team also continuously improve all functions on DREP mobile client, speeding up verification when logging in DREP cloud wallet, allowing our users to get their on-chain assets faster and making on-chain transaction more stable and smoother. DREP explorer now supports statistical analysis of transaction and blockchain data in the background, improving user experience on blockchain.

In terms of ecosystem, DREP explored security and privacy challenges in Defi and explained what DREP could do by employing multiple security and privacy protection technologies. What’s more, DREP team celebrated Moon Festival with our Chinese and Korean community. In September, DREP got closer to our community members by offering token rewards to lucky DREP official Twitter(@DrepOfficial) followers.

DREP Research Institute I DREP’s Solutions to Security and Privacy Challenges in DeFi

Decentralized finance or “DeFi” is a big buzzword this year. DeFi platforms are supposed to be much more secure than their centralized counterparts, but the real story isn’t so simple. There have been some pretty big bumps like the dForce exploitation along the road. Also, without privacy, a decentralized financial system will suffer many of the same pitfalls as our current financial system. Employing multiple security and privacy protection technologies, like decentralized private key storage technology, DREP security technology library and DREP DID, DREP provides its solutions to bring security and privacy to DeFi. For example, DREP has launched its highly-secure, multi-chain Hierarchical Deterministic wallet, including centralized cloud wallet and decentralized HD wallet.

DREP team celebrated Moon Festival with our Chinese and Korean community

October 1, 2020 marks not only China’s National Day, but also Moon Festival which is celebrated by both Chinese and Korean. This long-standing festival celebrated in both countries suggests similarities in our traditional cultures. Community building is extraordinarily significant for DREP. On October 1, DREP team sent our best wishes for Moon Festival to all community members in China and South Korea.
