Question: Can you tell us about you and about your project?
Momo: Hi, I’m Momo Chang, Co-founder and COO of DREP. I entered Blockchain industry in 2017 and launched DREP in 2018. Previously I was a securities analyst at Orient Securities and founded game producer Yolo Tech. I got my master's degree at Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, where I met my partner Xiaolong, who was CTO at QTUM at that time.

Question: What’s the biggest challenge lying ahead for DREP in the Web 3.0 era and how do you intend to overcome them?
Momo: Web 3.0 aims to engage users in distributed networks based on open protocols. We are aware of the adverse tricks along with it, namely the credit crisis in DAOs and data segmentation. In brief, DREP team is exerting to provide all-around solutions and transform those challenges into opportunities.
In order to realize decentralized applications and develop their potential in benefiting the whole industry, DREP is shaping into a decentralized infrastructure to build trust and verifiability into the web, so that we established DAO governance system and on-chain KYC model.
DREP currently has been moving forward in respect of multi-chain credit infrastructure and DREP chain improvements:
1 — For DREP Credit V2.0, expanding its user base from more EVM chains is in progress.
2 — For DREP Reputation Protocol, DREP plans to strengthen incentives and punishment system of validators, enhance the solutions to Sybil Attack and other hostile behaviors, and introduce whitelisted third parties to optimize reputation verification mechanisms.
3 — To achieve better effect in DAO governance, DREP will optimize the scalability and fee structure of DREP 3.0 vertical chain specialized in DAO-Layer, and optimize zero-gas solutions.
4 — DREP will be developing DREP Smart Pipeline V2.0 to deal with loads of credit data transactions while enhancing compatibility with multiple chains.
At the blueprint stage, DREP team will reinforce user identity and self-management of data to endow users with the real value of the web; Moving forward, DREP wishes to come up with a DAOs’ information portal place; and in the long-term vision, a DAOs’ rating mechanism will be set up to create undisturbed experience in decentralized community.
Question: What is the utility of the DREP token?
Momo: DREP Token utilities mainly consist of fees, payment methods, staking assets and governance rights to support the entire DREP protocol. The total supply of DREP token is 100 million, and the circulating supply is around 40 million. DREP token is listed on Binance and other exchanges.
The upgraded utilities of DREP Token are as follows:
1 — First and foremost, fees or commissions, which represents DREP holders’ right to use, earn and vote on DREP network.

Momo: Gearing Up to be the Engine of Web3.0, DREP 2.0 is now coming into full shape with optimized DREP Web 3.0 products and a promising outlook on the ecosystem.
For tech-side, major development is carrying out in accordance with 2022 roadmap:
1 — DREP upcoming NFT explorer will be launched in Q3 2022, providing solutions to simplify the fussy procedure of NFT transactions, enhance NFT liquidity , and optimize safety of NFT OTC market.

Question: DREP has a cross-chain NFT marketplace mechanism plan. Could you please explain it?
Momo: Aligning with our 2022 schedule, we will further facilitate layer1 & layer 2 interoperability on DREP Crossing V2.0, which now supports EVM and WASM-VM, and the potential lies in cross-chain asset swap of NFTs.
DREP’s Crossing is applicable for multiple NFT types (ERC-1155, ERC-721 etc.), and it will be able to support cross-chain swap between NFTs and tokens to increase the market liquidity and achieve eco-continuity. Moreover, DREP Cross-chain Credit DID data system enables interactive authentication to be achieved through asymmetric-key encryption between different nodes. Combining with DREP’s upcoming NFT product, DREP will be able to restructure a more efficient cross-chain NFT mechanism.

Question: What are the advantages of the PBFT consensus system? Most blockchain projects nowadays usually choose PoW, PoS, but is PBFT a DREP product? (Translated from Turkish)
Momo: DREP Chain uses DBFT, a new consensus mechanism that is a fusion of the DPOS and PBFT consensus mechanisms. In the DBFT consensus mechanism, the proper operation of the blockchain depends on the trustees, who are fully equivalent. The trustee’s responsibilities include:
1 — providing stable servers to ensure normal operation of the nodes ensuring the nodes will collect network transactions
2 — ensuring the nodes will collect network transactions
3 — ensuring the nodes will validate the transaction and pack the transaction into blocks
4 — ensuring the nodes will broadcast the blocks, and add blocks to their own database after verification by other nodes.
5 — Participating in the governance and maintenance of DREP Chain.
