Instructions For Retrieval of DREP Chain Testnet Tokens
DREP’s Testnet faucet provides Web3 developers with free tokens for deploying, testing, and optimizing smart contracts on DREP’s testnet blockchain, thus providing developers with a network that mirrors production blockchain environments without requiring gas fees that cost real money.
Please note that 10 DREP Testnet tokens will be sent per transaction and each wallet address can receive a maximum of 5 transactions.
Step 1: Access the Faucet
Visit our Testnet faucet at https://faucet-testnet.drep.org/ or by clicking on “Chain” > “Faucet” at our website https://www.drep.org/
Step 2a: Add DREP Testnet Via the Faucet Website
Ensure that you have an Ethereum compatible wallet. It is highly recommended to use MetaMask.
1. On the faucet website, Click the “Add Drep test network” button which has a Metamask icon.
Step 2b: Add DREP Testnet Manually
Alternatively, you can add the DREP Testnet to your wallet manually. Ensure that you have an Ethereum compatible wallet. It is highly recommended to use MetaMask.
1. Open your wallet and navigate to the settings or network section.
2. Add the DREP testnet manually with the following details
Step 3: Enter Your Wallet Address
Back on the testnet faucet page:
1. Solve any captcha or verification challenges presented to confirm that you are a legitimate user.
2. Enter the wallet address. This is the address where you want to receive the testnet tokens.
Step 4: Request Testnet Tokens
Click on the “Send me tokens” on the faucet page. This will initiate the process of sending testnet tokens to your provided wallet address.
Step 5: Wait for Confirmation
After submitting the request, the faucet will process your request, and you should receive a confirmation message once the tokens are successfully sent to your wallet.
Step 6: Check Your Wallet Balance
Go back to your wallet and check the balance to ensure that the testnet tokens have been successfully credited to your account.
Alternatively, you can use Drepscan, our revamped blockchain explorer, at https://explore-testnet.drep.org/ and input your wallet address in the search field to access your wallet info and check if the testnet tokens have been transferred to your wallet.
